Philip has been running ski courses for over 15 years in the Alps and invites you to participate in the ultimate in specialist skiing experiences. He offers a wide variety of ski touring courses to suit all abilities; from the best off-piste that the Chamonix valley can offer, to ski touring on the High Level Route and in the Bernese Oberland. Philip will take you away from the crowds and the queues to a whole new world of powder skiing.

introduction to ski touring

This is a 6 day course aimed at skiers, and mountaineers who ski, allowing you to sample the enjoyment and magnificent skiing the Alps have to offer, away from the prepared pistes. It is based in Arolla.

chamonix - zermatt high level route (haute route)

The Haute Route is probably the most famous of the Alpine ski tours and justifiably so. Philip runs this trip over 10 days which gives the maximum chance to provide good training and acclimatisation in Chamonix. An extra day is included to give us the maximum chance of completing the traverse in the event of bad weather, or of skiing to Saas Fee if conditions are good.

bernese oberland

This is a six day tour in a magnificent area, ideal for those who have some ski mountaineering experience. As one of the major ski touring areas of the Alps, the Bernese Oberland offers some of the longest descents.

other areas

Philip also offers ski mountaineering trips to many other areas of the Alps such as the Ötztal and Silvretta in Austria, the Wildstruble area in Switzerland and Grand Paradiso in Italy.
